Sony MDR-EX75 Earbud Review!

by on Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Sony MDR-EX75 earbuds are one of the best earbuds on the market today.

First, the sound is great across all frequencies including great mid, treble, and bass.  It’s no surprise because Sony has been making some great earphones since the 80s, they have done a great job with earbuds as of recently.

Second, there’s a gold-plated extension cord that prevents you from breaking your earbuds by yanking on it. (which is the leading cause of earbud failures)

Third, the price is right for all the quality you get.   I have already bought like 5 of these MDR-EX75s for me and my family/friends.

Our rating: 4.5 out of 5

  • Great earbuds for under $100 that perform like $200 earbuds.
  • Great bass and treble.
  • Earbuds fit snuggly.
  • Separate extension cord for accidental yanks.

There’s three different colors you can get:

White: $23.99 on Amazon

Black: $29.95 on Amazon

Silver: $39.99 on Amazon

There’s really no performance difference between the colors, I believe the prices fluctuate due to demand.

All of Sony’s MDR-EX series earbuds are pretty good, you can check out all of them on Amazon here.

Also, DON’T BUY Sony earbuds at BestBuy as they mark it up like 200%.  I saw the older MDR-55X for like $39.95 at BestBuy, what a ripoff.  Amazon is the best/cheapest place to get earbuds in the world period.
